Live Like Zander Junior Pro 2023 – The World’s Top Junior Surfing Talent Converges on Barbados to Celebrate Zander Venezia’s Life and Legacy BARABDOS, WI – The Live Like Zander Junior Pro 2023 is quickly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated surfing events of the year, bringing together the world’s top junior surfing talent to compete in honor of legendary surfer and champion, Zander Venezia.

The event marks the fifth edition of the competition, which is set to take place from March 27th to April 2nd in the soup bowl, Bathsheba. This year’s competition is dedicated to the life and legacy of Zander Venezia, a young and talented Caribbean surfer who passed away in heavy surf in 2017, while chasing his dreams to become the best surfer in the world. The Live Like Zander Junior Pro was established in his memory in 2018, as a fitting tribute to his unwavering passion, incredible talent, and love for the sport.

The event’s key objective is to inspire and support the next generation of young surfers, who, like Zander, aspire to greatness and pursue their dreams with passion and dedication.

The Live Like Zander Junior Pro 2023 will see more than 60 top junior surfers from around the world, including athletes from Hawaii, USA, Brazil, South Africa, and Europe, compete in the pristine waters of Barbados east coast. The week-long competition will feature both male and female categories in the under-18 and under-12 age groups. The event will also offer opportunities for young surfers to hone their skills, learn from the best in the world, and share their love for the sport with others.

In keeping with Zander’s passion for giving back, the event will include community service initiatives and beach clean-ups, as well as workshops on environmental sustainability, wellness, and mental health for young surfers. “Zander’s legacy is all about passion, commitment, and excellence, and that is what we hope to celebrate through this event,” said Louis Venezia, Executive Director of the Live Like Zander Trust. “We are excited to bring together some of the world’s brightest young surfers in Barbados, in honor of Zander, for a week of high-energy competition and camaraderie.
